What a nightmare!!! We went to Boo At The Zoo thinking it would be a day at the zoo with costumes. NOPE! It was a mass of humanity standing in lines to get free stuff, and blocking people who just wanted to see the zoo. Oh, well. You live and learn. So... the problem with trying to photograph wild life is that it constantly MOVES! Including the elusive blue eyed monkey. It was a drag trying to catch it on film! The hippo was very active and swam around and around. We also got to see the baby tigers again. They are almost as big as mom is! At the end of the slide show, look at what poor curly headed people have to deal with in the am. Horrible Bed Head!

THE LAKE... Summer '08
Okay... so it is a little late, but here are the pictures from the lake in the summer. We went to visit Aunt Net and Jim at the Ozarks. Logan got to play with Paddy, horses, and even a camel (thanks to their friend Wendy). We went to the Elks for dinner one night, and Logey LOVED the corn. Aunt Net also took us for Logan's first boat ride. He fell asleep at the wheel.

Halloween
For Halloween we went to both Grant's Farm and Purina Farms. Logan had a great time both places. Later, he went to the Pumpkin Patch with Grandma, Lynn and Devin. He came home filthy, but he obviously had a great time :).

Logan Turns 1
Wow, how the year flew! Logan turned 1 on May 31. The popular little man had a few parties in his honor. The first was a family party over Memorial Day weekend. He was cruising all over the place with hands from his aunts and uncles ... it's only a matter of time! Once he got a little assistance from mom figuring out the birthday cake situation, he dove right in, getting some delicious dessert for his tummy as well as using the icing to fingerpaint an impressionistic scene on the antique dining room table, much to the delight of the aunts, uncles, parents and grandparents in attendance.

Logan goes to California
Logan and Mommy went to California in June. We went to Auntie Jill's house first. We went to Disneyland (and didn't see Mickey or anybody. Logan rode a few rides, went to see a show and had his first frozen lemonade. We drove to Santa Barbara to see Aunt Wendy and Uncle Pete. Logan took a tour of the Prissidio (a fort)and ate lunch on the pier. Logan loved the beach... and the freezing cold ocean. Mommy's legs were numb, but Logey was tummy deep in the water and wanted to go deeper. We took the train back to Fullerton. We went to the aquarium and lost the pacifier (mommy was mad because it was probably her fault) and Logan got bit by a Lorrikeet. He was a big boy though, and he didn't even cry. Our last day we drove by the beach and ate lunch on another pier.
Our Little Tadpole
Logan LOVES to swim and play in the water. He got a frog pool from Aunt Denise and GUS for his birthday. Mix that with some bath toys, and you have a fun afternoon.

Water Baby

We went to St. Pete for Spring Break. After a long delay at the airport, but we did get to see Matt Morris, formerly of the Cardinals, and a nap, Logan was ready for the airplane. He did a great job on his first plane ride. Fortunately, the lady next to us was very kind and didn't get mad when he tried to do her Report Cards for her. The next snaffoo was at the Tampa airport where we had no car (and no microwave to heat baby food). It all worked out and we made it to the hotel. When it was daylight, we lotioned Logey up and dressed him for the beach. He wanted nothing to do with the ocean, and very little to do with the sand. When he got to the pool, however, he was in 7th Heaven. Unfortunately for him, our bathtub just doesn't compare.
