FIRST BATH IN THE TUB!

Logan's first bath in the tub went relatively well. He likes the water, and generally enjoys his baths. He does like to take his Soothie in with him, but often spits it out, and if mommy can't catch it, it becomes off limits (because who knows what's in the water). Enjoy the pictures... and no, there are no pickle pictures to come back to haunt him later.

Logan and Dad

Father's Day

It was a very special Father's Day for Logan, his daddy, and Grandpa Francis.

Play Time

Logan is finally awake for more than a few minutes each day. We had time to play today!!

Look Ma... No Cord

Logan finally has a belly button!!! And it is an inny!!! He found his button on 6/16. I think the car seat may have had something to do with it :)

Story time

We LOVE books!!!

Pat the Bunny is an age-old classic. Who doesn't love touching and smelling that book?

Grandpa bought a book about the Piasa bird. We read it to learn more about the legend. Logan also learned facts about eagles and the current Piasa on the bluffs.

Our first trip out...

On Friday we went to see Dr. Jennings. Logan passed his first Dr. visit with flying colors. He gained almost 9 oz, AND since he is doing so well, we don't have to go back to the Dr. this week! (Dr. Jennings likes first babies to come at 1 and 2 weeks just to make sure things are going well). He was amazed at how much different Logan looked now as opposed to in the hospital. Poor little guy had such a rough time, but now things are great!

We also took a walk because the weather was so great. Apparently brick sidewalks are not ideal for a stroller. We need one with shocks! And we found that Alton is not handicapped accessible. There are not ramps for you to go from the sidewalk to the street.

Logan for President

We hope he isn't practicing for life in the oval office.

A crooked politician?? NAH!

Lucky Mommy

Wow! I have got to be the luckiest mommy in the world. Logan is (USUALLY) such an angel. He is sweet, and mellow, and just plain fabulous! Luke has been wonderful too! Last night he got up twice, and let me sleep all night. Is that a great daddy or what?

Yesterday many of our surrogate Aunties (and some young friends) came over. They brought a rainforest bouncy seat. Boy do we LOVE that! Mommy just needs to be careful where she walks because those little legs jump out and she kicks the chair everytime!

Here is a picture that Angie took (she is a picture freak just like Aunt Bec!)

Rub a Dub Dub

Lojo got his first bath at home on Sunday night, and he took it like a little champ! Even though it was nice and warm, and Jen and Luke uncovered one little body part at a time, he was not a huge fan...he whined a little bit and made his scrunchy face until it was covered back up. But when he had his little head washed he thought it was fantastic! Here is a recap of Baby's First Bath: start to finish.

"Mom and dad getting ready to transfer me to a new hoody towel - what a great team they are!"

"I like this comfy towel. I think I'll take a little nap."

"It's getting a bit wet on my belly, but I'll just ignore it for now."

"Now I'm getting a back rub - yes!"

"Hey guys, what's the big idea? I was napping!"

"Aw, it's all better now. I get to cuddle with my mommy."

"Hey now! Where'd my comfy towel go!?"

"OK, back to my jammies with the help of mom and dad."

"Whew. Now I'm a happy camper."

"And now I even have the comfy towel back on top of it all!"

"Getting my pretty blond hair washed - deep conditioning, please, Mom and Dad!"

"You lookin' at me, Aunt Bec?"

"This has been fun, but I'm getting tired again."

"One more kiss from mommy and my first bath time is over!"

CARDINAL NATION WELCOMES NEW FAN

It is only fitting that Logan and his dad come home in matching Cards' outfits. His mom and dad had their wedding reception at the old Busch Stadium and are big Cardinal fans. Hopefully "Lojo" is going to be their good luck charm to help them turn their season around. Maybe he can bring some much needed to help to the pitching rotation.

Family Ties

As the first baby of our generation, Logan has been quite a family highlight. All sorts of relatives have been stopping by to see him. As I get my hands on more of the family photos, we'll keep adding them here.
